Author Biography

Julia Lin Thompson, University of Sydney

Julia Lin Thompson is a published author and a doctoral candidate in Spanish and Latin American Studies at the University of Sydney, where she also achieved her M.A. Her research focuses on ideology and children’s literature translation. Her doctoral thesis examines the Spanish translations of Mark Twain’s The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1885), produced under state censorship during Franco’s Spain (1939-1975).
