Karen Magro

Dr. Karen M. Magro is Professor of Education at the University of Winnipeg. Her teaching, research, and writing interests are in the psychology of teaching and learning, transformative learning theory, literacy education, creativity, social justice education, and newcomer and refugee studies. Dr. Magro’s most recent edited volume, Finding New Voice and Vision in Literacy Learning (International Centre for Innovation in Education, Ulm, Germany), explores multimodal dimensions of literacy in a globalizing world.
