Author Biography

Richard Flynn

Richard Flynn teaches children’s literature as well as modern and contemporary poetry at Georgia Southern University and has published widely on poetry for young people and for adults. His chapter “Elizabeth Bishop, Randall Jarrell and the Lost World of Real Feeling” appears in The Cambridge History of American Poetry (2015). A founding judge of the Lion and the Unicorn Award for Excellence in North American Poetry, he has just returned as a judge after a seven-year hiatus. In addition, he is working on two new essays on poetry for young people.
